Hot on the heels of Twitter updating its Android app with Instagram-like filters, Instagram has also rolled out an update for its native Android app. The update takes the app version up to 3.3.2.
With Twitter adding its own native filters to its app, Instagram has also gone ahead and added a brand new filter to Instagram for Android. The new filter is called Willow, and it provides a cool black-and-white effect to your pic. Check out a screenshot of the Willow filter in action below:
The update also adds various other bug fixes and performance improvements to the app. While we appreciate Instagram providing regular updates to its Android app, and adding new features now and then, what’s even more encouraging is that Instagram seems to be taking Twitter and other competing photo-editing apps a lot more seriously and is prepared to go the length to hold on to its user base.
If you haven’t checked out the new Willow filter yet, check your notification bar for the Instagram update.
