Huawei unveiled the new EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9 Pie at the IFA 2018 and later on made it official for Huawei P20 users in China, but the company has just announced that the global rollout will begin soon.
Huawei has taken to its official Twitter account to announce that the Huawei P20’s Pie update isn’t too far away, but what the company hasn’t been clear about is whether the tweet refers to beta or stable software. Also, the tweet hasn’t verified whether the P20 Pro and P20 Lite will receive the Pie update alongside the standard P20, but the former is likely.

Huawei says the new EMUI 9.0 promises faster app performance, something that is part and parcel of the Pie update in general. The update will also include other Pie features such as Material Design 2.0, Digital Wellbeing, App Actions, App Slices, and more.
