There is a listing about a new Huawei handset on GFXbench, which lists the model no. as Huawei LON-L29. The model no. of L29 has to be Huawei P10, as the P9 has L19 as its ID (EVA-L19) while P8 was known by L09 ID (GRA-L09). Here are the Huawei P10 specs we could gather from the GFXbench listing.
We can expect the Huawei P10 to sport a Quad HD 5.5-inch display, and house Huawei’s own SoC, the Kirin 960 (HiSilicon 3660). The P10 could come equipped with 6GB of RAM, and massive 256GB of built in storage.
The listing has the camera at 11MP, but we think it’s the same dual cameras form the Mate 9, a combination of 20MP and 12MP sensors. There looks to be a 8MP selfie shooter on the device.
The Huawei P10 is already running Android 7.0 Nougat, but by the time it launches, we hope Huawei upgrades it to Android 7.1.1 — rumored to release on December 05 for Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.
Huawei is pretty good with updates, as they proved again when they released the Honor 8 Nougat update as beta recently, matching the likes of Samsung and Sony in the Nougat beta release, although falling behind Motorola and LG. The former has had Moto G4 Nougat build in beta out for long now, while latter already has the LG G5 Nougat released in Korea.
