Huawei is all set to release the Nougat update, that we already know thanks to the leaks for P9 Android 7.0 based firmwares, and also that the Honor 8 has the Nougat beta program live already.

But now we know for sure when company could release the update as stable version, that would become available to all users worldwide.

The company released a statement for press today, revealing that they plan to release Nougat update for its popular devices at the moment in Q1 2017.

Huawei also listed out handful of devices marked for Q1 release, and that includes P9 sets (P9, P9 Lute, Pl Plus), Nova sets (Nova and Nova Plus) and the Huawei Mate 8 — whose successor in Mate was launched in last month, with Nougat pre-installed.

We think the Huawei P9 sets will be receiving the 7.0 OTA in January 2017, followed by Nova units in February ’17. Between Feb and March 2017, the Mate 9 looks destined for the Android 7.0 Nougat update release.

The Huawei Nougat update would come with EMUI 5.0 pre-installed. Check out the Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.0 in action in these screenshots, that also give you a good look of the changelog.
