Uk based carrier Three is now offering the Huawei Mate 9 and the Lenovo P2 on contract starting today. Both devices are solid buys with the Mate 9 stealing the edge with its flagship status.
The Mate 9 is Huawei’s gem at the moment and offers the best of specs with a beautiful design. The device features a 5.9-inch 1080p display powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 960 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 20MP main camera, 8MP front facing camera and runs on a large 4000 mAh battery. The ships with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The Lenovo P2 doesn’t carry as heavy a specsheet as the Huawei Mate 9 but it has its own USP. The P2 packs in a massive 5100mAh battery which should deliver enough juice to last for three days straight on a single charge. On the hardware front, the P2 comes with a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage. The device runs on the Snapdragon 625 processor. The only caveat here is that the smartphone ships with Marshmallow on board.
Three is offering the Gray variant of the P2 at a monthly contract starting at £18 with no upfront cost and the Space Gray variant of the Mate 9 is retailing at a monthly contract starting from £33 with an upfront of £99.
