HTC Vive just got a huge price drop. Yes, that’s right. The company, starting today, has reduced the price of the Vive by $200 which brings the effective price down to $599.

If that weren’t enough, the company is also offering a free trial to Viveport Subscription, which allows you to choose from a selection of VR games (up to 5 per month) alongside Google’s Tilt Brush, Everest VR, and Richie’s Plank Experience.

HTC Vive, for the unaware, is currently one of the high-end virtual reality (VR) headsets out there. And with the said price drop, the company expects more people to adopt it.

Oculus Rift, another high-end VR headset has also received a price cut earlier this year and is currently shipping at $400. PlayStation VR, on the other hand, is the most affordable option right now just in case you are searching for one.
