In late November 2017, the first HTC U11 Oreo update was spotted in Europe and the U.S. and earlier this month, the same update started rolling out in the EMEA region.
As of this writing, the HTC U11 Oreo update has now been confirmed for two more markets – India and Singapore. Through their official Facebook pages, HTC India and HTC Singapore have announced that those rocking the U11 will begin receiving the Oreo update as from tomorrow, January 30, 2018.
Like any other device, the HTC U11 will receive a bunch of new features after the Oreo update, among them picture in picture, Google Play Protect, notification dots, and more. You can check our full digest on the best Android Oreo features here.
Of course, the HTC U11 Oreo update will be rolling out over the air. This means that some users will receive the prompt to download the OTA files ahead of others, but there’s nothing to fret about because that’s how things work. As a result, it’ll take a few days or perhaps weeks before every U11 owner in India and Singapore gets the update.
