Rumor had it that HTC will be launching its all new flagship handset called the HTC U11 in India sometime in the second week of June probably on June 9th. Corroborating these earlier claims, the smartphone has been listed on the company’s official Indian website.

The listing although doesn’t reveal when the smartphone will be made available, does mention that it is “coming soon” to India. Also, only two color variants namely Brilliant Black and Amazing Silver have been listed despite the fact that the HTC U11 comes in five different colors.

As a refresher, the HTC U11 was launched by the Taiwanese tech giant last month. It, as you expect, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood hooked to either 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of ROM.

A 5.5-inch QHD LCD 5 sits at the front with a layer of 3D Gorilla Glass on top of it. A 12MP f/1.7 camera sits at the back along with a 16MP sensor at the front. The smartphone ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat right away and depends on a 3,000mAh battery for juice.

The major highlight of the phone (no points for guessing) is the Edge Sense, the ability to squeeze the sides of the phone to invoke different functions.

The device is expected to carry a price tag of Rs. 54,999 in India.
