At a time when LG and Samsung are basking in the glory of their respective flagship smartphones, the G6 and Galaxy S8, Taiwan-based OEM HTC is still banking on its line of premium devices released back in January — the HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play. Obviously, these premium smartphones may not be at par with a flagship product, still they have enough juices flowing in them to make heads turn. This can be especially said about the HTC U Ultra 128GB with sapphire crystal glass display which has moved out of its parent country and landed in Europe.
HTC launched two models of U Ultra — one with 64GB internal storage with Gorilla Glass 5 on top of the 5.7-inch QHD display and the other with 128GB native storage paired with the same screen size but protected by Sapphire Glass on top. HTC had kept the latter confined within Taiwan till now and for the first time is releasing it outside the parent country in Europe.

Other specs on board the HTC U Ultra include 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 3000mAh non removable battery. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS and flaunts a 12-Ultrapixel rear camera and 16MP selfie shooter. It also boasts of a secondary display on top of the sapphire crystal display which is home to HTC’s new Sense Companion AI assistant.
