HTC’s premium phone which was launched this year itself, the HTC U Play, is getting a price cut in Russia. Out of the four available color options for HTC U Play, three have been listed on HTC’s official Russia website — Sapphire Blue, White and Black.
HTC U Play Sapphire Blue can be purchased at 26,990 RUB after a discount of 5000 RUB on the original 31,990 RUB cost. This amounts to a price drop of 15%. The Blue colored device comes in 4GB RAM/64GB ROM storage option.

On the other hand, HTC is selling the white colored U Play in 3GB/32GB storage capacity at a price of 24,990 RUB. The original price carried by the HTC U Play White is 26,990 RUB. Thus, it is getting 2000 RUB discount which amounts to 7.5%. Another color being offered for HTC U Play is Black which carries the same RAM and price cut as the white version.
HTC U Play was released in January along side the premium model HTC U Ultra. It sports a 5.2-inch FHD display with Gorilla Glass on top. The back features a new translucent glossy design which HTC calls Liquid surface. Powered by a Mediatek Helio P10 processor, the phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat. There’s a a 16MP primary camera and a 12MP Ultra Pixel selfie shooter. All the juices are kept flowing courtesy a 2500mAh battery. And of course, it is shipped with the HTC Sense Companion AI.
