An HTC U series smartphone has showed up on the TENAA website. This is probably one of the new U series devices that HTC had recently announced, namely the HTC U Play and the HTC U Ultra.
Both of these devices aren’t available for purchase yet, but you can pre-order one right now. HTC has started pre-orders for the U Ultra and the U Play on their online store. Other third-party retailers have also started pre-orders.
These devices will start shipping from March 1st, according to the online stores. Also, once a device appears on the TENAA listings, it means that it is ready for public release and should be available in China soon.
The HTC UK website is selling the U Ultra for GBP 649, whereas the U Play is being sold for GBP 399. The U Ultra is a high-end smartphone, while the U Play is a cheaper version with a smaller screen, less powerful Chipset, and a smaller battery. Both feature a body that’s almost entirely made out of glass. Also, no headphone jacks on either of them. HTC also plans to a launch a VR headset for the U Ultra.
