Earlier today, well known tipster LlabTooFer revealed that the Pixel devices would launch with Android 7.1, and the build no. would be NDE63B, which we think would be next (or next-to-next) update for Nexus 6P and 5X  too.

We have long known that these build no. isn’t a randomly generated piece of combined letters and numbers thrown at us, but they are deliberately calculated to hint us — and keep record at Google — at the possible date the build was made for.

Using the Google’s methodology to break it down, given here, we can crack down the build NDE63B to get its build date to be September 1, 2017.

Given that the Android 7.0 update carried build NRD90M, which breaks to June 29, 2016, and was released only by August 22, 2016, gets us the difference of 54 days, between the build’s build date and release.

Adding 54 days to NDE63B’s build date of September 1, 2017, gets us approximately release date of HTC Pixel devices, October 25, 2016.

Thoughts? If you were planning to buy a new Nexus — err, Pixel — device for long, and were hoping for September release, then your wait just got stretched a bit longer. We just hope it’s worth it — which we think it is.
