HTC is rolling out a new software update to its two-year-old One X9 which brings along system enhancements to the smartphone.
The company is currently pushing the update over-the-air (OTA) which arrives with the software version 2.24.400.2 and as mentioned brings with it some important system enhancements alongside bug fixes.
Also, it weighs around 506.12MB in size which is quite unusual for a security update. So, make sure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network before hitting the download button so as to avoid additional data charges.
The company clearly mentions that the update won’t delete any of the content on your smartphone. However, it’s a good practice to back up your data before you proceed further.
In addition, charge your phone before downloading/installing the update. Try to maintain at least 60% of charge on your smartphone prior to installing the update.
