HTC is updating its premium smartphones to Android 5.0 Lollipop build. Now, it appears that the vendor will not update some of the devices and leave them with Android KitKat itself.
The Taiwan based firm has revealed via Twitter that it will not be updating the One Mini 2 and One Mini smartphones with the Android Lollipop build. It makes sense for the firm to cancel the update for the One Mini as the smartphone is two years old, but the One Mini 2 is less than a year old.
The firm’s tweet claims that they are aiming to render the best possible experience to their customers and updating the One Mini 2 is likely not to provide an optimal user experience with the Android Lollipop build. This is the reason for HTC to leave the One Mini 2 with the Android KitKat platform.
The firm is having a tough time in selling its smartphones while the other makers such as Motorola are updating even their low end devices with the Android Lollipop build.
