After repeated forays into the tablet market, HTC is apparently planning to launch a brand new entry level tablet for its Indian fans. We recently received some info about a prototype which has just been awarded with the bluetooth certification.

From what we know, the dual-SIM device will come with 1GB of RAM and 16 GB on-board storage. The device will also come with a 7 inch display and run on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

The pricing on the box says INR 9,565 ($150) and judging by the specifications on offer that just may be right — although we may just see some revisions in the tag before it hits the market.

The company is probably looking to replicate the success of its Nexus 9, that is replicate the good parts while ensuring its a little lighter on the pockets — well, maybe more than a little.

The device may be released under the name of HTC H7 and considering that its already undergoing the certification process we may hear something soon.

Stay tuned!
