With a rumored May 18 release date for the Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE, preorders for the device were started yesterday by Sprint at $199.99 with a 2 year contract. And now, third-party retailer Wirefly is providing an even better deal by offering the Evo 4G LTE at $149.99, $50 less than Sprint.

Of course, the 2 year contract still stands, and the offer is also valid for existing Sprint customers who want to upgrade to the Evo 4G LTE when it comes out. And according to the Wirefly listing, a contract-free Evo 4G LTE is priced at $699.99 so I guess those looking to buy the device without a contract know how much they will have to shell out.

Now to only wait for the phone to come out and see whether the rumored May 18 release date turns out to be official or not. Fingers crossed, eh?
