Earlier today, HTC announced the Desire 826 in China and now the company is making its second launch of the day with Desire 526G+ in India.
HTC Desire 526G+ is a budget phone with dual SIM and is priced INR 10,400 ($169) for the 8GB variant that’ll be available exclusively through the online retailer Snapdeal in the country. However, the 16GB variant of the device will be available across all major retailers in the country and will carry a price tag of INR 11,400 ($185).
HTC Desire 526G+ specs include a 4.7 inch qHD display, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 1GB RAM and a 2000 mAh battery. As for the camera, the device features a 8MP camera on the back and 2MP on front.
The Desire 526G+ will run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Sense UI atop, most probably the Sense 6.5. The device may not receive the Android 5.0 lollipop update given its low specs, and a general negligence of popular OEMs to not update their budget devices.
