HTC Bolt bound for Europe too while India to get HTC 10 Evo, firmware filename leak reveals

The HTC Bolt may not remain as a Sprint exclusive after all, according to a trusted source. The US carrier launched the phone roping in Usain Bolt as ambassador, the famous Olympic Sprinter (see what I did there! No? Sprint, eh?), for promoting it. But it seems the bolt will struck outside of US and Sprint too, which is indeed good news.

The leak reveals the HTC Bolt — whose codename is Acadia — with model number 2PYBIMG heading to Europe, thanks to its build no. leak: 2PYBIMG_ACADIA_UHL_N70_SENSE80GP_HTC_Europe.

And that’s not all, it seems the HTC 10 Evo comes as model no. 2PYAIMG, and will be soon traversing through India streets, as the leaked firmware name reveals: b_A56DJ_PRO_DTWL_M60_SENSE80GP_HTC_India_SEA_1.09. SEA looks to be short for South East Asia, meaning the device come to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan as HTC 10 Evo.

The HTC Bolt features a Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB of RAM and a 3200mAh battery. The specifications bear quite the resemblance to this year’s flagship, the HTC 10. Even the design, which looks really appealing with that industrial feel, has made its way to the HTC 10 Evo. The only (well, significant) difference is that the phone will ship with Android Nougat 7.0 and Sense 8.0 straight out the box.

On the other hand, HTC 10 owners still running Android 6.0.1 need not fret. HTC has already made plans to release the Nougat update soon to the HTC 10. Head over here to check out the latest screenshots from the Nougat build on the HTC 10. It should start rolling out by November end.
