How to solve the Galaxy S9 media audio problem with car’s Bluetooth connection

Galaxy S9 media audio problem

Samsung Galaxy S9 might be the greatest smartphone by the Korean company to date, but this isn’t to say it’s the perfect device.

Since its launch back in March, there have been a number of issues that have been reported by users of the device, and one of them is the lack of an option for media audio when connected to car Bluetooth. This problem means that one cannot stream music with the phone connected to the car multimedia system. Several fixes have been put forward since this issue first showed up a while back, but there’s one that seems to be working for the affected units.

In order to take care of this problem on your Galaxy S9, all you need to do is to connect the phone to your car’s Bluetooth system as a media audio source (check this option), something you should find in the Bluetooth settings of the car system.

Apparently, this could be related to the new Bluetooth 5.0 because prior to this, connected phones would be automatically added to the system as call and audio source without the need to play around with the settings menu.
