What to know

  • You can reorder your Stremio addons using websites like addon-manager.dontwanttos.top and cinebye.dinsden.top.
  • Login to them with your Stremio user/pass. Or login to web.stremio.com, press F12, paste the code JSON.parse(localStorage.getItem("profile")).auth.key in the Console tab, copy the AuthKey obtained, and paste it into the addon-manager website.
  • Once your addons appear, rearrange them, remove them, and customize them as you like. Then sync to your account.

Stremio is a superb cross-platform app to get all your movies and shows under one roof. Support for official and community Addons is one of its strong suits. However, Stremio currently doesn't allow users to change the order of their installed addons and how they appear on the home screen.

Many users uninstall and then re-install their Addons to reorder them. But this is not always the most convenient option. Thankfully, there are a couple of Stremio addon managers to edit the order of the Addons, remove default Addons like Cinemata, and customize your Home page. Here's how to go about it:

Method 1: Use Stremio Addon Manager

The Stremio Addon Manager is a web service that lets you login to your Stremio account, change the order of the addons, and then sync them to your account (on all platforms). Here's how to go about it:

Step 1

Visit addon-manager.dontwanttos.top.

Step 2

Under Configure, login to your Stremio account using your email and Stremio password.

Alternatively, open web.stremio.com. Login using your preferred method. Once logged in, press F12. Or right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect.

Go to the Console tab.

At the bottom, paste JSON.parse(localStorage.getItem("profile")).auth.key.

If you get a warning message, simply type allow pasting.

Then paste the code snippet and hit Enter.

You will be provided with an authentication key. Copy it.

Note: Make sure not to copy the inverted commas before and after the key.

Then go back to the Addon-manager website and paste it in the section that says "Paste Stremio AuthKey here..."

Step 3

Click on Load Addons.

Step 4

Once your Stremio addons appear, simply drag to reorder your Addons.

You can also delete Addons from this page itself.

Step 5

Once you're satisfied with the order of your Addons, click on Sync to Stremio.

You should receive a confirmation message.

Now return to your Stremio platform of choice and you should find your Addons reordered.

Method 2: Remove Cinemata and arrange Addons using Cinebye

You may have noticed that Stremio doesn't let you uninstall the Cinemata Addon. Cinemata is a default addon that shows popular, featured, and new movies and shows on Stremio Home, and is protected and resists uninstallation. Fortunately, there's a website to get rid of that too. Here's how:

Step 1

Open the website cinebye.dinsden.top.

Step 2

Similar to the previous method, login to your Stremio account. Or, paste the AuthKey to login (same as in Method 1: Step 2 - using developer console).

Step 3

Once logged in, you can choose to Remove Cinemata Search, Catalogs, and Metadata.

Step 4

You can also go down the page and change the order of your Addons (similar to Method 1).

Step 5

Once you've removed/rearranged your Cinemata Addon, click on Sync Addons.

You should receive a confirmation message and your changes will reflect on the website too.

Step 6

Now open Stremio and you will find the changes have been applied to your Stremio Home.

Though Cinemata keeps you up to date with featured and new content, it is very generic and takes up a lot of space on the Home screen. Most users either move it to the bottom or remove it entirely.

We hope this guide helped you reorder and customize your Stremio home page better. Until next time!
