In case you missed it, you can install the supercool Xposed framework utility on your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Because Xposed has different files for different devices, depending on ARM and ARM64 architecture in use for a given device, you have to be careful installing Xposed.

Moreover, Samsung’s devices have separate Xposed installer file to be flashed in recovery, apart from the Xposed installer APK file.

You just follow the guide below to the T to install Xposed on your Galaxy S6 Edge+.

Once installed and working, you will have the freedom of installing the Xposed modules, using which you can customize the hell out for your Galaxy S6 Edge+. If you are new to this, you’ll be amazed by how powerful Xposed framework is.

Because Xposed modules aren’t always fully compatible, and really depend on the OEM and Android version in use, be careful to install them. Do make backup using TWRP recovery before installing a module or set of modules to be safe.

You will be installing TWRP recovery anyway below, to be able to install Xposed.

Also, make sure your device is rooted. If not, the check out our guide on Galaxy S6 Edge+ Root. Because, Xposed will need root access to do its thing.

Step 1. Download the Xposed Zip file, and the Xposed app’s APK file from above.

Step 2. Connect your device to PC and transfer both of the files (zip and apk) to it. Disconnect the device then. Remember the location of the files.

Step 3. Boot your Galaxy S6 Edge+ into recovery mode. If you are rooted, you can use Quick Boot app from play store. To manually boot into recovery mode, do this:

  • Press and hold  Volume Up + Home + Power button together until you see Samsung’s logo, and let go of buttons.

You will enter recovery mode soon, and should see TWRP recovery. If you see 3e recovery, then you need to install TWRP recovery for this.

Step 4. [Optional] Once in TWRP, create a backup of your device. Tap on Backup, and then select all the partitions for back. Now do the swipe action at bottom to start creating a backup for emergency cases. This backup is really a lifesaver!

Step 5. Now, install the Xposed zip file. On TWRP’s homescreen, tap on Install, and then locate the zip file and tap on it. Then do the Swipe action at bottom to begin flashing the update.

Step 6. When it’s done, tap on Reboot system button to restart the device.

Step 7. Now, open any file manager app, browse to where you have Xposed installer in APK format, and tap on it to install it.

Step 8. That’s it. Open the Xposed app, enable Xposed from settings, and then give your device a reboot to activate it.

That’s it.
