The T-Mobile branded OnePlus 6T handset recently got an update that didn’t appear to bring much to the device other than support for more domestic roaming partner networks. However, after a few days of use, it turns out the update has a bug.

Unhappy users took to Reddit to air their dissatisfaction towards the update breaking Google Play certification, meaning they can’t access services like Google Play on the OnePlus 6T. While solutions such as clearing Play Store data haven’t worked for those affected, there seems to be a working solution.

According to Tim Farley’s post on OnePlus forum, following the steps below will fix this issue:

  1. Hold down on the Play Store icon for 2 seconds
  2. Click App info
  3. Click Storage
  4. Click clear Storage

And that’s it!

Note that this isn’t an official fix, which means we still expect official communication from OnePlus, T-Mobile and/or Google regarding this error that shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
