QUICK ANSWER
Crowd right up against Damian to kill his suit’s jammer and restore your gadgets, then override the sewer turrets onto him and punish every reload until you can rip the mask off.

The 007 First Light finale drops you into the flooding tunnels against Damian Webb, now wrapped in a hulking mech suit that shrugs off your usual tricks. The fight feels unfair at first because your Q-watch gadgets simply stop working. The catch is that beating him means doing the opposite of what a stealth-spy game has spent the whole campaign teaching you.

Why hugging Damian shuts down his suit

The reason this fight feels broken is that it is built to punish range. As soon as you reach Damian, your Q-watch gadgets go dark — the readout literally calls it jamming and says his suit is blocking the signal. Every instinct from the rest of the game says back off and use your tech, and that is exactly what fails here.

The fix is the opposite. Get right on top of him and stop attacking. Staying in his face is what overrides the jammer, and once you are close enough your gadgets snap back online. Hold that position until the suit’s defenses drop, then let the magic missile from the Valhalla do the work.

Turrets, reloads, and the drowning end

Damian does not fight you alone — the sewer is lined with sentry turrets at every junction, and they are slaved to his weapon. They aim where he aims, so on their own they are pointing at you. Override one and you flip that relationship, turning the turret’s firepower straight back onto him.

Between turret hits, watch his weapon. After a burst he has to reload, and that pause is your safe window to push damage without trading shots. Keep cycling close pressure, redirected turret fire, and reload punishes until he drops and you can pull the mask.

The finale is not the mask, though. Damian comes back for a last grapple, tries to ring your neck, and floods the tunnel to drag you under while he is still locked in the suit. He is betting the suit drowns you both — but Bond comes out the other side of that plunge, and the fight is over.

QUICK WIN

The whole fight flips the rulebook, so charge in and crowd Damian instead of backing off — the distance you’d normally keep is exactly what powers his suit’s jammer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why won’t my gadgets lock onto Damian?

His mech suit jams your signal at range. The readout flags it as jamming, and the only way to clear it is to close the distance and stay right next to him.

Do the sewer turrets hurt Bond?

They track Damian’s weapon and aim where he aims, so by default they are a threat to you. Override a turret and its fire turns onto Damian instead.

Does Bond survive Damian drowning him?

Yes. Damian floods the tunnel and pulls you under in the suit, but Bond makes it out of the water and the fight ends there.
