If you haven’t played it already, Granny Smith is a cool platform physics game where players assume the role of Granny and set out to chase a thief who wants to steal apples from her yard. Sounds simple, right, except that Granny is wearing roller skates and has to race through level after level collecting coins and apples, and causing some destruction and performing death-defying stunts along the way.
All you need to do as Granny whizzes along and leaps her way through farmlands and city scapes is to make sure she lands on her feet. As you collect more and more coins, you can use them to power Granny up by adding a helmet, equipping her with banana peels as well as baseballs to use as weapons. You can also check out your last moves by viewing a vintage black-and-white replay of Granny’s stunts.
Granny Smith has just received a shot in the arm earlier today, with Mediocre, the developers adding an update to the game. The new update, adds nine new bonus levels, which should come as a welcome surprise for those who have already mastered the existing levels, as well as a Hard difficulty mode, for expert players to test and hone their skills.
Granny Smith is optimized for Tegra 3 devices, and if you have a HTC One X or a Nexus 7, this is a must-try game. If you’re in the mood to help out an old lady catch the apple thief, hit the download button below to get it for $0.99 from the Play Store.
