Google has started rolling out a new firmware update to a bunch of Pixel and Nexus devices based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and Android 7.1.2. Both the factory images as well as OTA files have been released by Google for the below mentioned Pixel and Nexus devices.
The new firmware update arrives with April security patch. Other than the latest monthly security patch, the update also tags along fixes for at least eight ‘critical’ issues.

Below are the Pixel and Nexus devices based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat for which the April security patch update has been released. The download link of the factory images has been provided beside each device:
- Google Pixel XL (NOF27D)
- Google Pixel (NOF27D)
- Nexus 6P (N4F26U)
- Nexus 5X (N4F26U)
- Nexus 6 (N6F26Y)
- LTE Nexus 9 (N4F26X)
- Wi-Fi Nexus 9 (N4F26X)

Here’s a word for caution for those not too apt at the manual updating procedure. Better wait for the OTA update to appear on your device, which should happen soon in the next few days and then go for the download and installation.
