It has been in the rumor mills for the longest time ever and we finally have an official date, so it seems.

Not long ago, reports emerged suggesting that the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will be unveiled in mid-2019. At the time, we didn’t have any specifics, but today, we might have something more concrete from Google themselves.

For some reason, the search giant has published what looks like a coded Pixel 3a teaser with an Avengers theme in the official Google Store. The Big G says that on May 7th, something big will be added to the Pixel universe.

Undoubtedly, what first comes to mind here is that Google has something Pixel-related set to arrive on this date, which happens to be the first day of the Google I/O 2019 tech show.

Traditionally, big additions (read new phones) to the Pixel family happen in Q4, but it seems this year’s Google I/O will bring more than just the much-anticipated Android Q public beta.

The Google Store page goes further to show off a number of Pixel features in the context of the trending movie, which is pretty interesting and possibly cryptic too. The Pixel 3a is expected to get a bigger Pixel 3a XL variant when it arrives.
