Google Maps is undoubtedly one of the handiest tools to have on your smartphone and the navigated lane guidance is really a big part of that. Recently, Google Maps team has announced that it is bringing the navigated lane guidance feature to fifteen more locations in the expansion of the app. So, if you have the latest version of Google Maps for Android, you can now have access to this feature. The countries which can get lane suggestions within the app are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland.
Navigation can only get you so far and you can easily get thrown off course when you have no idea in which lane you need to be. To avoid the risk, lane guidance has voice guided and step by step directions which suggest the lane that is best for your route.
Last year, Google added lane guidance to few countries like Germany, Italy, France, UK and Ireland. Since it has been only a couple of months since those additions, we can expect Google adding this feature to more places in the next month or two although it never made any mention regarding this.
