Liron Damir, Pebble’s lead designer and Essential’s head of UX (User experience), has been hired by Google to lead the design of Google Home products. He is also one of the brains behind creating webOS for HP and LG.

Damir announced about his new position at Google on LinkedIn which reads thus: “lead[ing] the design of Google Home products”.  He will be leaving Essential, where he had been posted as head of UX for the startup’s upcoming phone, to join Google.

While this comes as a good news for Google, which is trying to build on more visual user experience interactions with Google Home Products, Damir’s departure from Essential does not augur well for the start-up company.

Notably, another official from Essential has quit the company earlier this month. The company’s VP of marketing, Brian Wallace, left Essential following the foot-steps of Andy Fouché, Head of Communications who too called it quits. So, this means loss of three employees in a row in a short span which must hurt Essential considerably.
