We’ve seen devices release pretty quickly after making it to AnTuTu, which is why we think the Gionee S9 release date isn’t very far now. It could be a matter of month, or two at max. And the listing at AnTuTu also provides us good look at the specs, which could obviously change a bit and cannot be taken as final. If you already looking for the S9T AnTuTu stuff, well there isn’t one available yet.

The Gionee S9 specs includes a 5.5-inch display on the front, powered by resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD), while the device will be housing a MTK Helio P10 chipset (MT6755) at heart, with Mali-T860 taking GPU duties. You can expect the RAM on Gionee S9 to be of 4GB while internal storage of 64GB. That 4+64GB is kind-of standard between Chinese phones these days.

The camera is where S9 looks pretty interesting. It’s rumored that Gionee S9 would sport dual cameras at back, a 13MP + 5MP combo, with the front camera won’t be a slouch either as there will be a cool 13MP sensor taking selfies for you.

That rounds up the Gionee S9 rumors, last of which is that we can expect the device to come pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. You’d be forgiven to think Gionee S9 Nougat update would be arriving soon, but it won’t be given the poor, poor history Gionee has with Android updates.

If you talk Android Nougat update and Chinese OEMs, only Huawei stands out as it only yesterday revealed their Honor 8 Nougat update beta program for Indian users, to be taken to other regions like US, UK and France too.
