Thanks to GFXbench, we have the major Gionee S11 specs with us, which also reveal that the S11 would be company’s first full-screen device too. You are looking at a Vivo V7+ like device, but with better display. Vivo V7+ features a very mediocre 720p display, while the S7 is rumored to be powered by 1080p display, something we consider a minimum for today’s smartphones.
The Gionee S11 would feature a 6-inch display it seems, powered by a capable Mediatek processor, the MT6763 chip clocked at cool 2.3GHz. The graphical duties would be taken care by ARM Mali-G71 chip. The listing also reveals that S11 would feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, but given the trend in smartphone industry, we can safely assume Gionee to be working already on a 6GB/128GB variant too.
In the imaging department, you have a 15MP shooter at the back according to the listing, which should be 16MP in real-world, while a 5MP front cam is also expected — there is no hint of whether any of the camera setups at back involve dual camera, but we can’t rule both front and back sporting twin cameras at the very predecessor of the S11, the S10, featured four cameras, two at back and two at front obviously, and was the first device to do so.
The Gionee S11 is said to be powered by Android 7.1.1, but we wouldn’t bet on Oreo update arriving anytime soon for the device after its release give Gionee’s poor track record with updates.
