Gionee P7 Max update rolling out with performance improvements

Gionee P7 Max users are receiving a new firmware update. The update adds a couple of new features as well as brings performance improvements.

The new firmware update fixes minor bugs and tags along system improvements. It also adds support for Urdu language and Amigo Account. Additional features brought along by the new firmware include updated Mood wallpaper, Gstore, UC Browser and Google GMS.

The firmware updates the suspend button in the Gionee P7 Max at the same time adding BeautyPlus app. Rolling out over the air, it may take some time to hit your Gionee P7 Max device. Alternately, you can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > About device > System updates. Before hitting the download button, ensure that your device is connected to a WiFi network and is sufficiently charged.

Yesterday, Gionee rolled out another firmware update to its S6 device which brought a handful of new features and improvements, the most notable of which was the ViLTE support. It also included updated UC Browser and Truecaller.

  1. despite the performance improvement update, there will be hardly any improvement in the performance department coz the processor MTK6595 is not made for performance and with all the graphics intensive apps and games which require a good processor with enough RAM, I don’t see this more than 3 year old processor going any further for the performance!!
