Gameloft releases one more new Android game – Wild Blood

Gameloft has released its first game powered by the Unreal Engine – Wild Blood, in the Google Play Store. Wild Blood is an action role-playing game (RPG) similar to Gameloft’s previous games like Dungeon Hunter, but toting the best graphics of any Gameloft game to date thanks to the Unreal Engine.

The story sees you play as the knight Sir Lancelot, fighting against the demons let loose by the sorceress Morgana Le Fey on the kingdom of now deranged King Arthur. The gameplay is standard RPG fare, with the player mashing the attack button to kill enemies, and also having special powers like Fire or Ice at their disposal. There are 10 locations to discover as you progress through the story, with a few puzzles thrown in for good measure. You can also go head to head with up to 8 friends in multiplayer with Capture the Flag or Team Deathmatch modes, both online and via a local Wi-Fi connection.

In my time with the game, I didn’t find the graphics to be that special considering how hyped this game was, but that is maybe because the game defaulted to lower quality graphics on my Galaxy Nexus due to older hardware, though I did see a few Galaxy S3 owners also complaining about not so good graphics, so this just may be a case of “great graphics on iOS, not so good on Android due to the fragmented hardware”.

The initial download comes at 698 MB, though around 200 MB of extra space is required as the game extracts some more files later on when you start the game for the first time. Wild Blood costs $6.99 and can be downloaded from Google Play.
