Galaxy S9 would feature 4GB RAM while S9+ 6GB, details emerge

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 plus

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ release date largely remains a mystery, but the rate at which details about the phones are showing up online suggests that it shouldn’t be long before the S8 and S8+ successors are confirmed.

Coming from China’s Weibo, a platform that is known for its mixed set of reports, Samsung is reportedly set to make a significant change to the memory combinations of the Galaxy S9 and S9+. Unlike before, the standard Galaxy S9 will come with a RAM of 4GB while the S9+ will get a bigger 6GB RAM. Furthermore, the rumor points towards two storage options of 64GB and 128GB for the standard S9 while the S9+ will allegedly get three storage options of up to 256GB.

If this is true, there’s no doubt that Samsung is ready to push the bigger Plus variant as the flagship offering in its S series. In fact, the report further adds that if all goes according to plan, certain markets could get a monstrous 512GB storage option on the Galaxy S9+.

This, alongside the reimagined camera, bigger battery and the bigger 6.2-inch display screen, should make the S9+ the go-to variant of the two handsets.
