The global variants of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ started receiving the update to May 2019 security patch level a week ago, but it’s only now that the rollout has started in the UK.
The update is arriving as version G960FXXU4CSE3 for the S9 and version G965FXXU4CSE3 for the S9+ and it weighs in at about 380MB, suggesting that it has more than just the typical security update.
And true to this, the changelog does mention a few other additions, including improved performance for the camera beauty effect, improved stability for the camera, slow-motion video recording, Phone, and Bluetooth connectivity.
As usual, the new update also tags along bug fixes and system-wide stability improvements, so be sure to grab it once the download notification shows up.
Since the rollout is airborne, it will take a few days before all Galaxy S9 and S9+ units receive the download notification.
