Another Galaxy S8 Rumor points to rear mounted fingerprint sensor

Another day and yet another Galaxy S8 rumor. Now that the announcement date is getting closer, not even a day passes by without seeing another leak or rumor. The latest rumor reiterates a previous rumor about the Galaxy S8 having the fingerprint sensor at the back and a very high screen-to-body ratio.

According to this new rumor, the Galaxy S8 will have dual edged screen and be made completely out of glass and no metal would be used. That sounds a little strange. The source also claims that the fingerprint sensor would be placed at the back. And on the front, the display will take about 90 – 95 percent of the real estate.

We’ve heard rumors and reports about very high screen-to-body ratio and the fingerprint sensor being at the back. It has been reported that Samsung would get rid of the Home Button because of the high screen-to-body ratio. However, other reports have mentioned that the fingerprint sensor would be embedded within the display.

In a few weeks time, we should know which of these rumors and reports are true, and which are fake. Samsung recently filed for the Galaxy S8 trademark in the US, and will also soon disclose the results of the Note 7 explosion investigations. It is said that the Galaxy S8 would be launched on March 29th and prices would start at $849.
