Rumors and leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are picking up pace as the device nears release in March. The latest leak reveals the battery specifications for the upcoming 2017 flagship phones from Samsung.

According to a Chinese source, the Galaxy S8 will be featuring a 3250 mAh battery and the Galaxy S8 Plus will come with a bigger 3750 mAh battery. The difference in battery size is reasonable as the Galaxy S8 is rumored to come with a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S8 Plus is said to feature 6.2-inch display.

The 3250 mAh battery on a device with a screen size of 5.8-inch might prove less, unless Samsung has optimized the software greatly to improve battery consumption on the device.

Other leaked specifications about Galaxy S8 includes 4GB RAM, Super AMOLED display, rear mounted fingerprint sensor, 64GB/128GB internal storage with option to expand via microSD card, Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 processor (depends on region), 12MP rear camera and a 8MP selfie shooter. As for the Galaxy S8 Plus, the specs might include 6GB RAM and dual rear camera.

Rumor has it that Samsung will be releasing both variants of Galaxy S8 on March 29th, and the device will start shipping to select parts of the world by mid-April.
