Galaxy S8 and S8+ certified by P3DN

It’s only a matter of about 48 hours until Samsung’ upcoming flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8+ get official. Just before that, these two have paid a visit to Indonesia’s P3DN site. The products have been listed as model numbers SM – G950FD and SM – G955FD.

Samsung has slated March 29th as the unpacking event for these premium smartphones while April 21st has been booked for a global release following which these two handsets will go on sale in different regions.

Receiving certification from P3DN, which is Indonesian certification site, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have secured the rights to be made available in the Asian country after its release.

Galaxy S8 and its premium model S8 Plus will be released in six colors- Black Sky, Orchid Grey, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, Violet and Gold. Other than all the high-end specsheet, the S8 is reported to come with some unique features such as a face scanner, new fingerprint scanner functionalities, DeX Station, wireless charging, AKG powered earphones and first ever aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

Running Android Nougat, S8 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It will sport bezel-less look with 5.8-inch AMOLED display while the S8+ wil feature 6.2-inch display. Under the hood, S8 will pack in 4GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage expandable via microSD. S8 will also rock 12MP rear camera with 1000fps recording capability and 8MP front-facing camera.
