The UK’s biggest 4G mobile network operator, EE UK, has registered unprecedented pre-orders for Samsung’s flagship phones Galaxy S8 and S8+.

The S8 and S8+ pre-order on EE UK has surpassed last year’s flagship phones Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge breaking all past records, the mobile operator said in a press statement.

The EE UK has already started shipping both the devices to users. The British mobile operator said in the statement:

The larger format is again proving very popular, with 40% of customers opting for the 6.2-inch Infinity Display on the Galaxy S8+.

It is selling the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in two color options — midnight black and orchid grey. Out of these two colors, ‘the midnight black versions of the smartphones have received 63% of all Galaxy S8 and S8+ pre-orders.’

The EE UK further stated that:

As well as record sales for EE’s range of Protection options – including Full Cover Insurance and official accessories designed specifically for the Galaxy S8 – have also seen strong demand.

EE is selling the Samsung Galaxy S8 at an upfront cost of £9.99 for £55.99 per month for 24 month 4GEE plan which includes 5GB of data. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ is available for £29.99 upfront payment and £60.99 per month again for 24 month 4GEE plan with 10GB data. There’s another 4GEE Max plan for both the devices where users get 7GB of data in Galaxy S8 by shelling out £9.99 on a £60.99 per month for 24 months and for Galaxy S8+ they need to spend £9.99 on a £65.99 per month for 24 months in which they get 15GB of data.

  1. it’s like S8-series is an a record breaking streak, it’s breaking all the pre-order records in every country there is with their launch, even the records of their own predecessors, looks like in front of that awesome infinity display and IRIS scanner with great camera, people forgot the small shortcomings like awkward finger position or the RED tint issues, overall a huge profit for Samsung this year!!

  2. Samsung seems to be pulling in huge profits with just the S8 series so far ,the Note 8 will most likely help them gain more market share and the total profit for this year will more likely break the records of the previous years and put them in a place where they can put in huge money on R&D which they already are with 13 billion in the previous fiscal year •_• with that said the S9 should be really good(hopefully .too early to say.)

  3. Yet another case of immense response with pre orders. This is really turning out to be a lot bigger than I expected. Wow. While the phone, with its looks and creativity has gotten the response it deserves, I’m waiting to see if Samsung can keep up with the demand and supply phones in time. Or atleast with a reasonable delay. They will have a lot of unhappy, impatient customers otherwise and it also might discourage people who want to buy the phone directly later instead of pre orders.
