Today is a lucky day for the folks who purchased any of the recently released flagship phones by Samsung — Galaxy S6 edge+ OR Note 5 — as unofficial builds of TWRP recovery are now available for both the devices.

Only moments ago we posted about T-Mobile Note 5 TWRP recovery and now thanks to the same developer Manh_IT we have TWRP recovery for Galaxy S6 edge+ as well.

However, it hasn’t been tested yet. And given the fact that these edge display variants from Samsung requires further tuning for the TWRP recovery to display its stuff on the screen, we guess this first Alpha release of TWRP for S6 edge+ won’t work as you’d want it to be.

The recovery might boot on your S6 edge+ but it won’t show display. This can be corrected. Galaxy S6 edge and Note edge had this same issue and they were duly addressed, but only after further tuning.

We aren’t sure if Manh_IT has already taken care of the display issue. There are no testers on the xda post yet so can’t tell you if it’s working fine or not. But if you’re adventurous enough and know your way around when things go wrong, you may test it on your S6 edge+.

Grab the unofficial TWRP recovery .tar file for S6 edge+ from the download link below and flash it using Odin. For help, follow the step-by-step instructions link as well.
