Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Nougat update release is near, spotted on GFXBench

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active with Android 7.0 Nougat on board has been spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench, hinting that the company might soon release the Nougat update for the said device.

The exact time-frame for the release of Nougat update to Galaxy Active S6 is not known. But as is the case, the Android Nougat powered Galaxy S6 Active having appeared on GFXBench, we expect it to be sooner rather than later.

The device had received December security patch only recently with firmware build G890AUCU5CPK3. If you haven’t received the update yet, head over to Settings » About phone and manually check for the update.

Having released the Nougat update to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices, we were expecting Samsung to expand the OS base by including other devices in the list. And going by the chronological order (in reverse form, of course), which Samsung likes to follow, Galaxy S6 series, stands next in line.
