Seems like the Samsung Galaxy S3 is gearing up to beat all other smartphones out there when it comes to performance, at least in benchmarks. A device named the Samsung Galaxy SIII earned the gold trophy for performance in an AnTuTu Benchmark test, beating all other devices that have been benchmarked, including the quad-core Asus Transformer Prime. This leak comes just two days after the Galaxy S3 was shown to be beating other smartphones in GPU performance.

The app also lists the specifications of the S3, supporting the previous leaks which said that the Exynos 4121 (should be the 4412) processor will be powering the device, as well as supporting other leaked specs such as a 12 MP camera, a 4.7″ HD display, 1 GB of RAM, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It seems these leaked benchmarks are hellbent on spoiling the surprise announcement of the Galaxy S3 that Samsung are planning for May 3 in their Unpacked 2012 event. Not that it’s much of a surprise at this point, but still.

Of course, these benchmarks/leaks could be fake, so be sure to take all this with a pinch of salt and some peppermint to go along with it. But here’s hoping the Galaxy S3 is every bit the powerhouse we believe it will be, and more.
