A few days earlier we heard rumors of Samsung holding an event in Frankfurt on October 11 for the unveiling of Galaxy Music phone, which is a small low end 3.5-inch device with speakers on top and bottom of the phone. Not exciting at all if you look at the leaked pictures of it.
Anyway, Samsung has spiced things up today by sending out invitations for the event which says something like “The size may be small.. and the small can be big” in German. Yes, it seems Samsung’s new marketing gimmick to sell small devices is saying “Small = Big”.
So what’s exciting about the invitation is the “S” logo printed in the background of the invitation paper. That is the signature symbol of the famous Galaxy S series, and given the “Small is Big” theme of the event, it pretty much is telling that the rumored Galaxy S3 Mini is going to be officially announced on October 11 in Frankfurt.
Galaxy S3 Mini Specs include a small 4-inch display with a WVGA resolution, a dual-core processor, 5 megapixel camera and will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. We can guess that the 4-inch display will be a Super AMOLED display since it’s always been the colorful flavor of the Galaxy S series of smartphones.
So ‘Small = Big’ is new mantra Samsung will be reciting at the event in Frankfurt on October 11 😉
