After much wait and countless leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was finally launched on August 23rd. And since the device shares a common platform (build-wise) with Galaxy S8, it has many features common with the device, including water and dust resistant build.
The Galaxy Note 8 is waterproof with an IP68 rating, meaning the device can withstand submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 mins. The same goes for the S Pen that comes with the phone.

While IP68 rated build makes your Note 8 water resistant, we still do not recommend you to take it to a swimming pool to record underwater videos. And definitely not to a water park or under a waterfall, where water pressure is relatively high. As for rains and spills, the Note 8 should do good to handle them.
