In June, we reported that Nougat update for Galaxy J7 (2016) was under testing and will be rolled out soon. Looks like Samsung is sending the much-awaited Nougat update to the Galaxy J7 (2016).
Users in Russia have spotted the update, however, only few of the users have received the update yet. It seems that Samsung is rolling out the update in phases.

On the bright side, now that Nougat update has started rolling out in Russia (kind of), users in other countries will also get the update soon. The update weighs 970 MB and arrives with version number J710FXXU3BQHA in Russia. Along with Nougat, the update also brings the latest August security patch for J7 (2016).
The Nougat update will bring features such as split-window mode, notification controls, improved menu settings and user interface on Galaxy J7 2016.

Meanwhile, Google recently released the successor of Android Nougat, the Android Oreo. It’s really unfortunate that we are still receiving Nougat on Samsung devices while the latest Android version is out there. That said, we don’t think Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 will receive the Oreo Update. Sorry fellas!
