Latest gossip out of China reveals that Samsung has decide to push the release of its upcoming Galaxy C5 Pro Android phone to February 2017, which was scheduled to launch with C7 Pro between January 20-25, right before the Chinese new year.

Though, the C7 Pro release remains on track for January 4th week release. The reason that is being cited for the C5 Pro delay is that Samsung wants to full the gap between Galaxy S8 release, and that of C5 Pro and C7 Pro.

With the Galaxy S8’s launch delayed to April because of extra device testing measures Samsung is going to employ thanks to Note 7 fiasco, Samsung would have no product in high-end segment available for launch between January end to April if it launches both C5 Pro and C7 Pro in January.

If you were eyeing C5 Pro as your next buy, you may have to wait till second half of February 2017 now. While, if bigger is better for you, you should be able to grab the Galaxy C7 pro by January-end.

Though, here’s some solace for you, Samsung is keeping the Blue color exclusive for Galaxy C5 pro (sorry C7 Pro fans!), which would look like the Turquoise blue you get to see on Galaxy A8 2016. Speaking of Blue color, Xiaomi today launched the Redmi Note 4 in Blue too, while Gionee is perhaps planning on a Blue S9 variant too.

The Galaxy C7 pro release is said to be on January 21, 2017, in China, while you can get a look of Galaxy C7 Pro specs and images here.

Samsung is also planning to release the Galaxy C9 Pro outside China, where it could be called Galaxy C9, and may arrive with model no. SM-C900F.
