Galaxy A7 2017 Nougat update enters testing, release nears

Galaxy A7 2017

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A7 2017 at CES earlier this year. While it seemed like a decent upgrade over its predecessor, the fact that it was still on Android 6.0 Marshmallow was quite a disappointment for many.

However, by the way things are turning out to be, the Galaxy A7 2017 might just get to taste the sweetness of Nougat very soon as it’s (SM-A720x) been spotted on GFXBench running Android 7.0 Nougat.

Samsung hasn’t revealed anything regarding the update for the Galaxy A7 as such, but it was earlier rumored to roll out the update for the device in second quarter.

It seems like Samsung finally found a way to stick to its schedule and release the updates on time.

For those who are not in the know, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 sports a 5.7-inch Full HD display, a 1.8GHz octa-core Exynos 7880 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage space.

On the photography front, the smartphone has a 16MP sensor both at the front and the back.

Interestingly, it is also IP68 certified. Meaning, it can resist water and dust to a certain extent.
