Galaxy A series up for sale before official launch

Samsung ushered in a new line of waterproof smartphones with the 2017 Galaxy A series. Though the devices are yet to land on US soil and other markets, they are already on sale in Russia now. Prior to this, the Galaxy A5 and A7 were up for pre-order in Malaysia.

The Galaxy A7 which leads the trio, features a 5.7-inch FHD display protected by Gorilla Glass whereas the A5 has a 5.2-inch FHD display and the A3 a 4.7-inch HD display. Both the A5 and A7 pack in the Exynos 7880 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on board storage whereas the Galaxy A3 feaures the Exynos 7870 SoC and 2GB of RAM. All three devices include fingerprint sensors and the A5 and A7 come with IP68 certification.

The Galaxy A3 (2017) retails in Russia at 22,990 rubles ($387 or Rs.26,000) while the A5 (2017) is available for 27,990 rubles ($471 or roughly Rs.32,000) and the top tier Galaxy A7 (2017) is priced at 32990 rubles. The Galaxy A series is undergoing Nougat testing now so you could expect the devices to get the update in the coming month or so. The A series is also up for pre-order in the UK starting now.
