Just yesterday, we received some news regarding the upcoming HTC 11 smartphone and its specs. Now we have a rather shady leaked image showing the back of the device. We cannot be sure of its authenticity, but it does look like nothing HTC has released so far.
In the leaked image, you can see that the power button has ridges on it, similar to the HTC 10. The camera/flash placement is similar to the current HTC 10, but the camera is round in the 10, whereas here it is square.
According to rumors, the HTC 11 is supposed to feature dual-cameras, but that’s not what we see here. Therefore, it is possible that this is just a photoshopped image made to play with Internet, which is okay given the nature of leaks.
The leaks suggest that the HTC 11 will come with a Snapdragon 835 processor, dual cameras with 12MP and 8MP sensors at the back, 8GB of RAM, a 5.5 inch 2K display and a 3700mAh battery. How much of that is true, only time will tell. There isn’t any information, as of now, on when HTC plans to announce this new smartphone.
HTC 11 should come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat pre-installed, BTW, as HTC has already released the Android 7.0 update for the HTC 10 and One M9, so getting the build of latest numerical version of Nougat for the company shouldn’t be big deal — in fact, we expect HTC to start rolling out Android 7.1.1 build for HTC 10, One M9, One A9 and other popular HTC devices of 2016 in Jan-Feb 2017.
