Needless to say, all the Android smartphones come with a layer of custom skin atop. And every smartphone vendor has a unique skin for its smartphones. For instance, Samsung has TouchWiz, Huawei has EMUI, OnePlus has OxygenOS, and Xiaomi has MIUI.
Similarly, Meizu has Flyme OS for its set of smartphones. Now, unlike all the above-mentioned custom skins which come preinstalled with respective smartphones, folks can install the Flyme OS on handsets from companies other than Meizu.
Reason being, the Flyme OS is now open for third party developers. Meaning, folks can build custom ROMs based on Flyme OS which can then be installed on phones from different manufacturers.
