Flexible display boasting Samsung Galaxy Q Smartbook scheduled for 2013

Samsung Galaxy Q Smartbook

Apparently the development team at Samsung has not only been busy adapting to the quick Android OS updates being rolled out by Google but has also been focusing their efforts on developing a flexible display screen which is to be the highlight of their upcoming product- the Samsung Galaxy Q Smartbook.

Samsung has unveiled the bendable screen which it plans to use in the Galaxy Q Smartbook, model GT-B9150. We’re not sure how much cool it will be to watch a screen of resolution 1280 X 672 pixels (should be 720 pixels, with on screen keys eating up the difference of 48 pixels), but it sure sounds amazing. And futuristic. That said, the mechanics and dynamics of this screen still leave room for confusion.

It’s rumored that the Samsung team is all set to launch the Galaxy Q Smartbook with the first flexible screen in first half of 2013!

For the uninitiated, the Galaxy Q Smartbook is rumored to feature a very impressive set of hardware, boasting Exynos 5250 1.7 GHz dual-core processor (one that powers Nexus 10), massive 2 GB RAM, 8 MP camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean — could well be Android 4.2 by the time it launches.

Are you looking forward to the Galaxy Q Smartbook?

Samsung has already proved it can create market segments — yeah, believe it or not — with Samsung Tab (world’s first 7-inch tablet released worldwide) and 5-inch Galaxy Note (easily world’s first phablet), so what chances you think Samsung has of creating another new market segment of devices with flexible displays?
